Design

Are you thinking of having a quilt made? Maybe for a Christmas present? Maybe for a birthday or anniversary? I can help you with that. Here is what I will need in order to help YOU to design your own quilt:

  1. Is there a theme to your quilt?
  2. Preferred colors?
  3. What size are you thinking?
  4. Preferred quilt pattern OR may just a basic squares throughout?
  5. Thread color?
  6. How dense of quilting are you wanting (cost is dependent on density of quilting)?
  7. Batting type (Wool, Cotten, Cotten/Polyester Blend, Other)?
  8. What type of backing material?
  9. Is there anything else that you were thinking of including on quilt?

Also, I have had a few people ask me about doing t-shirt quilts. I could also do that for you as well. Send me a message or give me a call and lets get started designing your quilt. I look forward to hearing back from you.

I like to use Quilters Dream Batting which comes in various colors, thicknesses and materials.

Here is a link to Quilters Dream Batting that describes their different products.

With regard to the type of thread, I prefer to use Glide. It is a strong polyester blend, which works well with long arming your quilt. It comes in many different colors and weights. The benefit of using this type of thread is it holds up over time through washings without breaking down.
